Som joined BlueBay Asset Management (which is now part of RBC Global Asset Management) in July 2015 and is a BlueBay Portfolio Manager within Emerging Markets Team. Som manages hard currency buy and maintain strategies while also representing other EMD strategies in his capacity as an Institutional Portfolio Manager. Som joined BlueBay in July 2015 as an Institutional Portfolio Manager within the Emerging Markets Team. He joined the firm from JP Morgan Asset Management, where he worked for a number of years as a client portfolio manager, focusing on emerging market debt. Prior to joining JP Morgan in 2008, Som worked in Deutsche Bank's debt capital market origination team, where he covered northern European financial companies. Previously, Som worked at Fidelity Investments as a fixed income quantitative analyst. He is a mechanical engineer by education and holds an MBA (PGDM) from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. Som passed CFA exams in 2012.
