James Brace

General Counsel and Partnership Secretary, RBC BlueBay Asset Management

James joined RBC BlueBay in January 2007 as General Counsel. James has responsibility for RBC BlueBay’s Legal team, based in London, which advises and supports the business on a wide range of matters.

James joined from Baring Asset Management (BAM) where he was Head of UK Legal from 2001 to 2006 responsible for managing BAM’s UK legal function. Prior to this he was head of the legal team at UBS Asset Management in London. James started his career with Slaughter and May in 1993, where he qualified as a solicitor, before joining Baring Asset Management on the first occasion in 1998. James holds a Law degree from the University of Oxford.
