BlueBay appoints new CIO

BlueBay announces the appointment of Mark Dowding as the firm’s CIO.

Currently co-Head of Developed Markets at BlueBay, the planned succession will take place in Q2 2019, when Mark will take over from Raphael Robelin who will become Head of Multi Asset Credit, in a newly-created position.

After delivering a number of successful investment initiatives, Raphael believes now is an ideal time to hand over CIO responsibilities to Mark and take on a new role at BlueBay.

With 25 years’ industry experience, as CIO Mark will oversee BlueBay’s investment framework with a core focus on macro strategies and delivering superior investment performance for our clients. He will also join BlueBay’s Management Committee and Board.

Spencer Woodward and David Riley will continue in their respective roles as Head of Investment Operations and Chief Investment Strategist, stepping up to allow Mark to delegate all aspects of the CIO role that are not directly investment related.
